Maximilian Haensch

I am currently a Master’s student in theoretical and mathematical physics in Munich. I am working in the Quantum Field Theory group at the Max Planck Institute for Physics under the supervision of Johannes Henn. Before starting my Master’s I spent one year at the University of Washington in Seattle as a visiting graduate student. I completed my Bachelor of Science at the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen where I was supervised by Fabian Rennecke. This autumn I will start my PhD under the supervision of Luis Fernando Alday at the University of Oxford.

I am generally very interested in non-perturbative aspects of quantum field theories and scattering amplitudes. In my Master’s thesis I have looked at positivity properties in the coupling dependence of exact observables in planar maximally supersymmetric Yang–Mills. A preprint of my results is available on arXiv. In the future I am looking forward to learning more about holography and conformal field theories.
